How It Works

Good to Know Before Your Dunk Tank Rental
- Space: the EZ Dunker 2 measures about 10’6″ wide × 6’9″ deep × 8′ tall. Pick a flat, level spot clear of overhead power lines, with open room in front for the throwing line and a roped-off safety zone around the front, sides, and back. When full, the tank weighs over 4,500 lbs, so it can’t go on a deck, platform, or stage.
- Water: the tank holds about 500 gallons and fills from a standard garden hose, which usually takes 45–60 minutes depending on water pressure. Please have an outdoor spigot near the setup spot.
- Rider rules (manufacturer): one person at a time. Riders must be at least 5 feet tall, weigh 250 lbs or less, and be capable swimmers. Wear rubber-soled shoes, keep hands on knees, and sit forward. No one with a heart condition, back injury, or pregnancy.
- Supervision: an adult must be on duty at the tank whenever it’s in use. Don’t use it during storms, and never leave the tank full and unattended.
- Rain: you can reschedule because of rain at no extra cost with at least 48 hours’ notice before your event start.
Dunk Tank FAQs
How does the dunk tank work?
Throwers aim at the target, and a direct hit releases the seat and drops the sitter into the water. After each dunk, the sitter climbs out using the grip handles, pushes the seat back up until it locks, and sets the safety latch before sitting down again. We show you how before we leave.
Who can sit in the dunk tank?
Per the manufacturer, sitters must be at least 5 feet tall, weigh 250 lbs or less, and be able to swim. Only one person at a time, wearing rubber-soled shoes. Anyone with a heart condition, back injury, pregnancy, or similar condition should stay off the seat.
How much space and water does it need?
Plan for a flat, level area about 11 feet wide by 7 feet deep with 8+ feet of clearance and no overhead power lines, plus open space in front for throwers. The tank holds about 500 gallons and fills from a garden hose in roughly 45–60 minutes.

What if it rains or I need to cancel?
If rain is in the forecast, you can reschedule at no extra cost with at least 48 hours’ notice before your event start. Cancellations and other reschedules also need at least 48 hours’ notice. With less notice, the deposit is forfeited. The dunk tank can’t be used during storms. If you postpone with at least one week’s notice, we may apply your deposit to a new date, subject to availability.
